What is Funny?

The word "funny" is an adjective that came from the noun "fun". It means to provide fun, causing amusement or laughter. As a teenager, things to me that are funny are what adults would call "innapropriate", "stupid" or "dumb". There are plenty of shows my friends and I like to watch that Adults would call "inappropriate", "stupid" or "dumb". For example, my favourite show, Family Guy. This is a classic show that has been around since 1998. Yes, i agree that the show is a bit stupid and inappropriate, but thats what makes it funny! Just laughing at how dumb these characters are. There are lots more shows that adults do not approve of like the Simpsons, Futurama and Jersey Shore. I love to laugh. It is what makes my world go 'round and I am known for my continuos laughter. To me the characrteristics of "funny" are things that are dumb, like dumb blondes. Things that are goofy and silly like silly faces. What makes me laugh most is my friends. To me the main characteristic of funny, is when your having a good time, and just simply having fun. Riding a roller coaster, going for a boat ride, skiing, all these things are simple acts of someone who can have a good time and laugh about it.
